Classical music concert: Dances around the world

On 16/01/25

Description

Named the Thursday concerts, the programme offers a weekly concert in both summer and winter during the opening periods of the resort in the Notre-Dame des Neiges church.

In order to diversify the musical offering and attract an audience which is not made up of specialists but families on holiday, we offer a mix of organ recitals and concerts where the organ is in dialogue with vocals, choir, orchestra or other instruments.
The organist of Notre-Dame des Neiges and the artistic director of our association is Jean-Paul Imbert, Officier des Arts et des Lettres. He took over in this position from Jean Guillou.

The church has an organ unique in the world, named Christophe-Raphaël, with an exceptional quality and richness, constructed in 1978 by the organ builder Detlef Kleuker using the plans of Jean Guillou, composer and organist of Saint-Eustache in Paris.
